Aon Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is looking for a Manager
for our Claims & Operational Solutions practice.Location: Hybrid,
Chicago, IllinoisAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help
empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and
effective solutions as part of our Claims & Operational Solutions
practice within the Strategy & Technology Group (STG) in Chicago,
Illinois.Aon Claims & Operational Solutions provides advisory
services to firms who operate across the insurance landscape, which
include many of the most prestigious companies in the Global
Property, Casualty, Insurtech, and Health and Benefit (re)insurance
market. We help our clients identify and deliver tangible results
to drive better operational performance and enhance profitability
while improving the client experience.As a Claims & Operational
Solutions Manager you will:
- Lead the full lifecycle of client engagements from defining the
solution, to developing recommendations and implementation plans,
to partnering with clients for execution.
- Manage the overall client relationship building credibility and
trust.
- Be responsible for project delivery and managing Associate and
Senior Associate team members within the project team.
- Lead interpretation of complex sets of client data, development
of data workflows and mapping for quantitative analysis on claims
financial, quality, and performance data.
- Lead problem solving sessions with internal/external clients to
develop processes, methodologies, and implementation plans that
will guide them to the objective future state.
- Develop storyboard, framework for analysis, and formulating
overarching narrative.
- Lead the identification and communication of recommendations to
clients.
- Oversee the implementation and execution of
recommendations.
- Develop and draft client proposals, articulating the Claims &
Operational Solutions' value proposition.
- Work towards selling client engagements through ongoing
relationships.
- Work in a collaborative environment with clients and
colleagues.
- Challenge the status quo and internal processes to identify
opportunities to work more efficiently.
- Support in identification and lead of claims innovation
initiatives.
- Lead by strong example, mentor, coach, and potentially line
manage Associates and Senior Associates.
- Support and lead additional functions (talent, data,
operations, etc.) in support of STG's growth including data
management, operations, compliance, etc.You Bring Knowledge and
Expertise.Characteristics of an ideal candidate:
- Minimum bachelor's degree from a top tier university.
- 6+ years of work experience in insurance claims.
- Experience in business strategy, process improvement,
technology and analysis related to claims.
- Experience leading projects and managing teams of professionals
to deliver quality and insightful work to Executive
stakeholders.
- Experienced in business storytelling and formulating
narratives.
- Ability to develop robust and impactful Client & Executive
presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and a track record of business
success.
- Strong attention to detail and a critical eye in overseeing
work of more junior team members.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple work
streams, and with tight deadlines.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel)
and visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Willing to travel (typically less than 20%).We support our

Transparency Laws:The salary range for this position is $120,000 to
$140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's
education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal
equity and alignment with market data.
