Description - ExternalPlease attach a copy of your resume, license/certifications to your application-thank you!All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Benefits from Day OnePaid Days Off from Day OneStudent Loan Repayment ProgramCareer DevelopmentWhole Person Wellbeing ResourcesShift: Day Shift Hours-PRNLocation: 500 Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook HospitalGENERAL SUMMARY:Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.--- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.--- Performs routine and complex studies and assists physician in a variety of imaging procedures.--- Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.Qualifications - ExternalEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Graduate of a 2-year allied health program preferred.Previous experience requiredLICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:--- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.--- Registry Eligible Medical Sonography Tech credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
