Opportunity Overview:
This position provides support for all Windows-based end-user experiences from the initial account provision requests, access permissions, equipment cycle changes and/or any encountered issues through to system deprovisioning and additional processing. The user environment is 24x7 and the candidate must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays. This person primarily handles routine tasks, requests, and issues. The LAN Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of internal systems, workstations, and servers that support the day to day operations across the company. This will include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network issues. The ideal candidate will also provide responsive and efficient end user support on a variety of IT-related issues.
A Day in the Life of the LAN Administrator:


  • End User Support

    • Monitor and Resolve incoming Service Desk Support tickets
    • Application and hardware support, evaluation, monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Perform Move/Add/Changes as required
    • Hardware/Software upgrades
    • Hardware repairs
    • Supports all other IT teams in troubleshooting - network switch testing/verification/tracing, data cable tracing, etc.

    • Customer Focus

      • Provide Quality Customer Service to our internal customers in a timely and respectful manner
      • Advocates for clients internally, acts as trusted advisor, grows profitable relationships

      • Administration of Active Directory

        • Creates, maintains, audits and de-provisions Active Directory accounts

        • Initiative - identifies ways to improve processes/situations, takes responsibility for improvements or solving problems, sets own standards above prevailing standards, and show dissatisfaction with substandard or inefficient activities
        • Systematic Thinking - makes effective use of organizational systems and processes, takes an organized, logical approach to thinking through issues, applies learning to new situations
        • Other duties as assigned

          What You Bring to the Table:

          • 1-3 years of service desk or technical support experience preferred
          • Self-motivated to identify issues and develop appropriate resolution
          • Organizational Ownership & Values Alignment - reliability and conscientiousness, integrity and openness, enthusiasm and engagement
          • A desire to learn and the ability to stay knowledgeable in new and changing technology
          • Ability to effectively and accurately communicate both written and verbally
          • Ability to communicate professionally by telephone, correspondence, and in person
          • Ability to work well with others in a standard office environment
          • Ability to stay focused and remain composed during peak periods & when dealing with challenging situations
          • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
          • Ability to lift up to and including 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
          • Ability to crawl, kneel, stoop, and work in tight spaces
          • Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, since the user environment is 24x7
          • Ability to travel, via ground and air, occasionally between company locations
          • Must possess reliable transportation to travel by ground to other locations on an occasional basis

            Education:

            • High school diploma or equivalent
