CNC Machine Operator

Job Description:

Adecco is currently assisting a local client seeking to fill Machine Operator-CNC positions in Wheeling, IL. These are 2nd shift Temporary opportunities. The Machine Operators are an essentially part of manufacturing within the business unit. They supplement machines by producing fixturing and/or machining product due to limited capacity or simplicity of the operation. Key Result Accountabilities

*Inspection of work accurately with assistance from co-workers.

*Performs basic set-up and operation manual machines when required.

*Basic adjustments to maintain dimensional integrity.

*Uses basic shop math to assist in all aspects of the job

*Complies with work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, quality system.

*Verify the revision level for the current operation (operation sheets, blue prints)

*Verify PC count and all applicable documentation for completion of previous operations.

*Participates on various teams to achieve performance metrics.

*Maintains machine maintenances and log.

Job tasks may also involve:

*Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures.

*Working with cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controls.

*Lifting up to 50 pounds.

*Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion.

Employee will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee and participate in hazard analysis and resolution.

Qualifications

*This position requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

*Attended Trade school or 5-10 yrs shop experience.

*Ability to use basic inspection equipment and techniques.

*Ability to read basic blueprints and/or operation sheets.

*Basic shop math skills.

*Must pass novice on the operator certification test.

*Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures.

*Complete all job specific required training.

*Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics.

*Comply with all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility.

Pay:

$13.25/hr

Hours:

2nd shift 2:00pm-10:00pm
