With our team of dedicated caregivers, Sinai Health System is committed to building stronger, healthier communities.A partner with the Jewish United Fund in serving our communityGENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB: --- To provide safe quality patient care on a timely basis --- Provides excellent communication to patients in order to acquire images and radiation treatment in an efficient professional manner --- Provides quality Radiation Therapy treatments and imaging utilizing appropriate protocols, reproducible setups, quality plans and patient cooperation for treatment purposes, as directed by the radiation oncologist --- Perform Quality Assurance, prepare and operate CT and treatment equipment and is able to position patients correctly and effectively, record the requested setup and document --- Provide a safe environment by screening all patients, family members and personnel entering the radiation therapy unit --- Provides radiation safety screening and education to the patients, patient's family and caregivers --- Fulfills all obligations in establishing American College of Radiology Oncology Radiation Therapy (ACRO) AccreditationJOB REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM EDUCATION: --- An Associate's degree from an American Medical Association approved course in Radiologic Technology MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: --- 6 months experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: --- Excellent customer service and communication skills --- Knowledge of Radiation Therapy quality per American College of Radiology Oncology standards --- REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: --- ARRT IN RADIOLOGY AND RADIATION THERAPY --- CPR - -Additional InformationExperienced and new grad RNs ------ Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) ------- Surgical Techs ------ -Imaging/Allied Health Techs ------ Respiratory TherapistsReady to Make Your Career Merry and Bright?
