Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead - Prepared Foods Associate to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Assist Team Leader: Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist in analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Develop and Maintain Store Layout: Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Vendor Management: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; respond promptly to customer needs and questions.Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy; growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills; proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.Working Conditions
    • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds; standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
    • Working Environment: Ability to work in wet and dry conditions; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
